Inflix Engineering has completed the rehabilitation of more than 12 kilometres of gravel road in Mbeya Rural on behalf of TARURA, restoring year-round access for the communities along the route.
The scope covered the full width of the carriageway and its drainage:
- Grading and reshaping of the existing gravel surface
- Compaction to specification, verified before sign-off
- Drainage upgrades to carry seasonal water away from the formation
- Signage along the rehabilitated length
The route serves schools, markets and health centres, and had become difficult to use in the wet season. Restoring a compacted, well-drained surface means those journeys hold up through the rains.
Delivered to TARURA standards
The works were carried out under our Contractors Registration Board Civil Works registration, Class III, with materials and compaction checked against specification at each stage before the section was accepted.
Road rehabilitation of this kind sits within our wider civil engineering capability, alongside box culverts, bridges, embankments and drainage structures.
